Harold L. Freeman, 88, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at his home.
Born February 7, 1925 in Landisburg, Perry County, he was a son of the late Luther Scott and Myrtle Freeman.
He was employed by Troy Laundry, Carlisle where he retired as supervisor after 49 years of service. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Newville. As a hobby Harold ran a Bicycle Repair Shop.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Helen E. Stum Freeman; two children, Barbara Ann Zayra (and husband, Michael) of the Pocono’s and Leroy H. Freeman (and wife, Vickey) of Carlisle; one sister, Ruby Johnson of Honey Brooke; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Freeman and one sister, Clara Jane Lethamacke.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Donald Jones officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2013 and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
