Harold F. Bream, 70, of 15 Bream Road, Carlisle, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Holy Spirit Hospital.
Born January 26.1943 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Ralph Andrew and Helen Barbara Laughman Bream. He attended Big Spring High School.
He was a member of Huntsdale Church of the Brethren. He was also a member of the Huntsdale Volunteer Fire Company, He was a volunteer in Brethren Volunteer Service serving in New Windsor, Maryland. Upon his completion of volunteer service, he apprenticed to and worked with Charles Jumper Mobile Feed Grinding Mill. He purchased the mobile feeding grinding business and was sole proprietor until the mid-1990's. Later in life he worked at the Carlisle Livestock Market and Excel Logistics. In his retirement he was known for his pig roasts. He was an avid square dancer and cowboy impersonator at Western Village. He collected calandars and John Deer Toy Tractors.
He is survived by four brothers, Ralph Adam Bream of Carlisle, Roger D. Bream of Newville and Rev. Jonathan W. Bream, of Carlisle, and Lynn J. Bream of Shippensburg; four sisters, Alma Boldosser, Caroline W. Calaman and Josephine L. Bream, both of Carlisle, and Virginia E. Stambaugh of New Bloomfield; twenty nieces and nephews and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews and extended families. Preceded in death are his parents, a sister Cindy Stambaugh, and a nephew Daniel Boldosser. Harold was never married.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Huntsdale Church of the Brethren, 170 Church Road, Carlisle with the Rev. Janice E. Custer officiating. Burial will be in Huntsdale Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Penn Township. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, and from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
