Harold E. Wert

Harold E. Wert, 85, of Boiling Springs, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle
Born January 23, 1929 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Clayton G. and S. Catharine Lebeck Wert.
Mr. Wert was the former owner of the Harold E. Wert Janitorial Services. He was a member and attended the Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church, Carlisle for 85 years. At the church, he was a member of the Ushers Association and Volunteer Fellowship Sunday School Class. Harold worked at the Cumberland Valley Savings and Loan for 14 years. He was a hard worker and went by his trade slogan "If you have dirt – Just call Wert".
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Esther I. Thumma Wert, a son, Roger E. Wert and his wife Cindy, Boiling Springs, three daughters, Laurel I. Yohe, Boiling Springs, Kay M. Murtorff and her husband Rich, Carlisle and Sherry I. Wert, Carlisle, two brothers, Ray Wert, Carlisle and Merle Wert, Lebanon, a sister, Sylvia Klick, Gardners, three grandchildren, April and "Billy" Bubb, Aaron and Jes Wilson, and Charity Murtorff and three great-grandchildren, Madeline, Colby, and Karlea. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Hope A. Wert and a son-in-law Wayne W. Yohe, two brothers, Paul and Dale Wert, and two sisters, Pearl Bouder and Lois Wert.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2014 in the Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Linda L. Lambert officiating. Burial will be held at N. Middleton Church of God Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday in Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church and from 1:00 pm Thursday until the time of the service in the church.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle is handling the services.
