Gregory S. Heaster

Gregory S. Heaster, age 56, passed away on January 12, 2025, at UPMC Carlisle.

Greg was born on Wednesday March 20, 1968, to the late Leroy M. and Dorothy L. (McClain) Heaster.

He worked for UPS as a trucker driver. Greg was in the military and attended basic training after graduating from high school. He then went to Ft Hood for Advanced Individual Training as a Medic. Greg was in the reserves and after 6 years separated as a E5.

Greg was an employee at UPS for 37 years. He started in 1987 as a part time loaded, while he was attending HACC. He completed an associate’s degree in criminal justice. While he was also attending college, he transitioned to being an Air Driver in the package car department. In 1995, Greg became a full-time driver in the feeder’s department. In 2022, Greg reached the Circle of Honor for 25 years of accident-free driving.

Greg is survived by his wife Kelli C. Chestnut of Carlisle, his son Seth G. Heaster of Carlisle, siblings: C. Douglas (Deborah) Heaster of Alaska, S. Mitchell (Glenette) Heaster of Mapleton, PA., Trina P. (Ronald) Grove of Pleasant Hall, PA., Lindy Heaster of Myrtle Beach, SC. And many nieces, nephews' other relatives and friends.
