Grace “Nan” L. Brenizer, 81, of Carlisle, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her home.
Born May 11, 1929 in Mechanicsburg, she was a daughter of the late Jacob William and Susan Rebecca Sheaffer Jones and the widow of Clarence A. Brenizer.
She was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, Class of 1947. She retired from Ships Parts Control Center in Mechanicsburg after 36 ½ years. Grace loved babysitting and being with her great-grand kids. She really enjoyed camping and just being at home (Grace called herself a “home body”).
Surviving are one daughter, Barbara Willier (and husband, Larry) of Carlisle; three granddaughters, Robbin Vioral (and fiancée, Tim Gamble) of Newburg, Shari Brenizer (and partner, Ellen Gladfelter) of Mechanicsburg and Jama Wert (and fiancée, Leonard Wilcox) of Carlisle; two grandsons, Andrew Brenizer of Red Lion and Chad Wert (and wife, Gail) of Carlisle and six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Jane Six of Carlisle, Betty Arlene Harry of Carlisle, Joyce Arlene Duckworth (and husband, Glenn) of Georgia and Patsy Jane Zimmerman of Carlisle; one brother, Kenneth Adam Alexander (and wife, Peggy) of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Andrew Brenizer; two brothers David William Jones and Harry Jacob Jones and one sister, Catherine Rebecca Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Timothy D. Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 and also from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
