Glen E. George

Glen E. George, 81 of Carlisle died Sunday March 6, 2011 in his home.
Born January 27, 1930 in Newville, a son of the Cloyd W. and Ethel Burkholder George.
He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Glen was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, Carlisle and American Legion Post 421, Newville.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Betty C. George, two sons, Richard E. George, Wake Forest, NC and Randy L. George, Newville, three brothers, Dale George, Carlisle, Cloyd George, Florida and Galen George, Carlisle, a sister, Patsy Myers, Carlisle, a step-son, Edward L. Kuhn, Gardners, a step-granddaughter, Dawn Mixell, Gardners, two step-great-grandchildren, Teralin Mixell and Mason Mixell. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Charles F. and Chester George and a sister, Clover McLaughlin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday March 11, 2011 in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with the Rev. David Herr officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 12:30 pm Friday until the time of the service in the funeral home.
