Glen A. “Glenny” Woodrow, Jr., 58, of Carlisle, passed away as the result of a work accident on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
He was born March 27, 1962 in Carlisle to the late Glen A. Sr. and Doris A. (Hoover) Woodrow.
Glen was a 1980 graduate of Big Spring High School. He was formerly employed by the Newville Ribbon Mill until their close and then Miller Environmental. Glen was currently working at JMF Underground. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and will be GREATLY missed by all who knew and loved him. Glen was truly a “jack of all trades”, he could fix anything. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, building, and working on cars.
Glen is survived by his loving fiancée, who he was going to marry in a few months, Heather Howell of Carlisle; four children, Ashley (husband Kevin) Hoch of Newville, Brandon Woodrow of Enola, Donavan Howell of Carlisle, and Dominique Howell of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Hollen, Adalee, and Ellia Hoch; four siblings, Judy A. (husband Earl) Bailey of Newville, Rose A. (husband Faron) Cook of Newville, Hope A. Rice of Carlisle, and Joy A. (husband Joseph) Shockley of Newville; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; one great-great niece and one great-great nephew; and his beloved dogs Scruffy and Maverick. In addition to his parents, Glenny was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky A. Woodrow.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. As mandated by Governor Wolfe maximum capacity during gatherings is restricted and you may be asked to wait at the door when you arrive until the numbers allow for your entrance. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
