Geraldine M. "Gerry" Wasilewski

Geraldine M. "Gerry" Wasilewski, age 74, of Boiling Springs, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her residence with her family and friends by her side.
She was born on May 19, 1941 in Shamokin, PA to the late Alexander S. and Rita M. Maher Wasilewski.
Gerry graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School and from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing and then acquired her RN license. She earned her CCM and CDMS certifications and spent most of her carrier serving and medically managing catastrophically injured patients. She retired as the Manager of the Medical & Disability Services Department for PHICO Insurance. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the St. Patrick Perpetual Adoration Chapel.
Gerry is survived by her children, David L. (and wife Debra) Burger, Jr. of Boiling Springs, Christine M. (and husband Allen) Brown of Mohnton, PA, Douglas A. Burger of New Cumberland and Marina L. (and husband Mark E.) Walters of Plainfield; and four grandchildren, Matthew Alexander Burger, Eric David Burger, Garrett Alexander Brown and Rebecca Marie Brown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph M. Wasilewski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA with the Very Reverend William C. Forrey as celebrant. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There will be a viewing at the Parish Activity Center from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, Gerry asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Patrick Catholic School, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015 and/or, if able, to donate a pint of blood to your local blood bank.
