Geraldine E. Lockridge

Geraldine E. (Gerri) Lockridge went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 13, 2014 from Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born May 14, 1920 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Erma (Dunkle) and Howard Dewalt and the widow of Vernon Lockridge.
Gerri was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. She worked as a CNA at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Forest Park Health Center. She also worked at the former Kinney Shoe Corporation and as a waitress at various businesses in Carlisle and Waverly, VA. She was a caring and loving mother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a large part of her life and she was very proud of all of them.
Surviving are a brother, Amos Dewalt of Greenridge Village, Newville; three children, Bonnie L. Wiser, Barbara A. Lightner, both of Carlisle, and Tracy L. Lockridge and wife, Andrea, of Colonial Heights, VA; five grandchildren, Lenny A. Dietz, and wife, Katherine of Carlisle, Glen A. Lightner, and wife, Jane of Hummelstown, and Jeremy A. Lockridge and wife, Amy of New Bloomfield, and Stephanie and Stephen Brochey of Carlisle. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren.
She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
