George E. "Ed" Crum, age 75, of Carlisle, died Monday evening, November 9, 2015 at the Manor Care Nursing Home of Carlisle.
He was born in Carlisle on October 16, 1940 to the late Ray K. and Wilda Yengst Crum.
Ed was a former body shop manager at several car dealerships in the Washington, DC area. Locally, Ed worked at the former Bob Baish Body Shop in Carlisle. He was also employed part-time with Carlisle Events. Ed enjoyed traveling to Arizona, cars, especially vintage muscle cars and was an avid Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles fan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Bretz Mowery Crum of Carlisle; a son, George Derek Crum of Carlisle; two sisters, Judy (and husband John) Slonaker of Carlisle and Ruth Crum of Columbia, PA; two step-daughters, Wendi (and husband Tim) Stout of Carlisle and Melissa (and husband Ed) Scholly of Mt. Holly Springs; step-son, R. Ebert (and wife Michelle) Mowery II of Shippensburg; a granddaughter, Laci Crum; eight step-grandchildren, Alyvia and Garrett Bolinger, Kassandra and Stella Scholly, T.J. and Amber Marpoe and Devin and Caleb Mowery; and two nieces, Holly Slonaker Wilker and Jennifer Slonaker . He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Crum and a niece, Heather Slonaker.
There will be visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
