Genevieve Ritter Bromley

Genevieve (Ritter) Bromley, 90 years. of age of Mechancisburg, PA died on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at her residence with her loving family at her side. She was born in New Kingstown, PA on November 27, 1929 to the late Elmer L. and Julia Glasgow Ritter, Sr. and was the wife of William R. Bromley, Jr. of Mechanicsburg, PA.
“Gen” was a former flight attendant with the Eastern Airlines and had worked for the Hemlock Girl Scout Council. She was a life member growing up in the Trinity United Methodist Church in New Kingstown where she was a member of the choir and was the former Youth Music Director. Gen also had worked at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Wormleysburg as their soloist and director of the Senior and Youth Choirs.
Genevieve was a volunteer and former board member of the Cumberland County Unit of the American Cancer Society. Gen had also chaired the fund raising for Daffodil Day for the American Cancer Society for the Cumberland County Unit. She was a former member of the New Kingstown Volunteer Fire Companies Ladies Auxillary.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William R. Bromley, Jr. and son, William R. Bromley, III both of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Melanie J. Kullman of Hummelstown; two grandsons, Justin N. Kullman and his wife Michelle, and Kristopher W. Kulllman and her two great grandchildren, Kamden and Kayleigh Kullman. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer L. Ritter, Jr. and Myron U. Ritter, and a sister Joan Hurgeton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Rd. Carlisle, PA. Officiating will be her pastor the Rev. Eric L. Funk. There will be a visitation on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of services. Interment will be in the Longsdorf Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Genevieve’s name be made to her church, Trinity United Methodist Church P.O. Box 26 New Kingstown, PA 17072.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
