Geneva Laura Martin, age 79, of Roxbury, PA and formerly of Newville, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born January 22, 1937 in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Clark S. Barrick and Pearl E. Renshaw Barrick Malie and was the widow of the late George P. Martin who passed in November 2014.
Geneva retired from C.H. Masland/Lear Corporation after 36 years of service. She was a member of the Shippensburg Independent Baptist Church.
She is survived by her five children, Carol A. Nelson of Camp Hill, Cindy E. Holtry and her companion, Thomas D. Hockenberry of Newville, Karen Gillespie of Kingsland, GA, George K. Martin of Roxbury and Michael A. (and wife Cathy) Martin of White Oak, Ga; a son-in-law, Ronald Armold of Newville, twenty-one grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine L. Barrick Minich of Carlisle; a brother, Larry C. (and wife Vicki) Barrick of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Geneva was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys L. "Barrick" Richcreek Keller; a daughter, Wanda K. Barrick Armold who passed in December 2014; a grandson; and a great-grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Salem Stone Church Cemetery with Pastor Ken Waggoner, Jr. officiating.
