Gary E. Darr

Gary E. Darr, age 64, of Carlisle passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at Manor Care of Carlisle.
He was born February 22, 1952 in Carlisle to Arthur and Doris (Wert) Darr of Charleston, SC.
Gary formerly worked for Kinney Shoe Manufacturing, Walmart in Carlisle and the Petro Fuel Station in Middlesex Township. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife, Karen M. (Walters) Darr of Carlisle; a daughter, Jessica Diane Darr; two brothers, Ronald Darr of SC and Allen Darr of NC; a sister, Michele Whipkins of NC; mother-in-law, Helen P. Christopher, Carlisle; brother-in-law, Paul Walters of Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda M. Darr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Pastor Chuck Kish officiating. Burial will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 to help defray the funeral expenses.
