Frederick "Fred" Blaine Stoltenburg, 70 of Newville, died Friday, September 6, 2013 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born February 22, 1943 in Carlisle, the son of the late Frederick Arthur and Janet M. Warner Stoltenburg.
Fred was formerly employed by the Sylvania Shoe Co., Mt. Holly Springs, and the former McCoy Electronics, Mt. Holly Springs. He was a Veteran of the US Army and member of the S. Mountain American Legion, #674, Mt. Holly Springs. Fred was an avid hunter, loved fishing and drag racing.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Mary E. Baker Stoltenburg, a daughter, Janice M. Lowman and her husband Shad, Lancaster, three sons, Frederick Allen Stoltenburg, and his wife Teri, Camp Hill, Troy L. Stoltenburg and his wife Jennifer, Newville and Michael E. Stoltenburg and his wife Carie, Newville, nine grandchildren, Carisa, Brandon, Mariah, Philip, Taylor, Caitlyn, Konnor, Makayla and Eliza and a great-grandson, Zachary. He was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Stoltenburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday September 11, 2013 in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Burial will be in the Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
