Frank W. Forrest, 84, of Carlisle, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born September 16, 1927 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Kathryn McClellan Forrest.
He was president of Benefit Counseling Services and also president of Money Concepts, Chalfont. He was a member of the Great Hope Baptist Church, Carlisle where he taught Sunday School. He was a graduate of Bob Jones University and received a Degree in Bible Study at the Philadelphia College of Bible. Frank was an excellent husband and father. Frank was a veteran serving in the Merchant Marines and also the US Army during WWII.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Joy Forrest of Carlisle; one daughter, Cathy E. Forrest of Schwanksville; one brother, W. Stephen Forrest of Mechanicsburg; one sister-in-law, Carole Forrest of Carlisle; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Forrest.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Great Hope Baptist Church, 110 Fern Avenue, Carlisle with Rev. Dale E. Barrick officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the church.
