Frank Jason Henry, 90, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
He was born on May 5, 1925 in Carlisle to the late Samuel B. and Anna Laura Wheeler Henry.
Frank was a graduate of Carlisle High School. He was a proud veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Ostara. He retired from AMP, Inc. after over 20 years and worked in various capacities throughout the years for North Middleton Township. Frank was also an original founder of the North Middleton Youth Baseball League. He was a member of the McDonalds Coffee Club and enjoyed spending time with his friends there. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife, Rosella E. "Rosie" Hinkle Henry of Carlisle; four children, Steven M. (and wife Wendy Clemson) Henry, Deborah K. (and husband Robert) Stought, Robert J. (and wife Deborah Lias) and Gregory S. Henry, all of Carlisle; a sister, Jean Adams of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Christine ( and husband Jeff) Preuss, Jared (and wife Laurie) Henry, John (and wife Jessica) Stought and Jodie (and husband Tim) Bowermaster; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee A. Henry and Robert W. Henry and a sister, Sarah A. Garrett.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther Street, Carlisle with Rev. Robert W. Moore and Rev. Carol J. Bowman officiating. Interment will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
