Frances “Fran” Warlow, born March 27, 1948, in Harrisburg, PA, peacefully passed away in Carlisle after a series of health setbacks over the previous year.
Fran spent her formative years in Carlisle, PA, graduating from Carlisle High School in 1966, where she forged lifelong friendships. She cherished the informal class reunions at the Allenberry Resort with her dear friends and was deeply saddened when her health prevented her attendance.
Post-graduation, Fran pursued her passion for sculpture at the Philadelphia College of Art, actively engaging in social causes like civil rights, women’s rights, and peace movements. Following her studies, she explored Europe before settling in the United States, working in theaters in Washington DC and New York City.
In New York City, Fran married, became a mother, and embarked on a career in various Advertising Agencies, all while relishing the city's vibrant culture, diversity, and artistic offerings. However, in 1987, she returned to Carlisle, where her parents still resided.
Fran remained an active member of the community, openly participating in Alcoholics Anonymous and advocating for sobriety. An ardent animal lover, she readily welcomed shelter pets into her home. Over the years, she worked in local antique shops and later joined Ahold Financial Services.
Fran is survived by her son, Chris DiPasquale, her three grandchildren, Samantha, Megan, and Christopher, as well as her loving sister, Mary Ellen Warlow, sisters-in-law Wincy Jackson and Melissa Warlow, nieces Rebecca, Melissa, and Mary Warlow, and nephews Sam and Whitney Warlow. She is pre-deceased by her parents and two brothers, Samuel and Michael Warlow.
In accordance with Fran’s wishes, there will be no public service. Those wishing to offer condolences may consider donating to a local Animal Shelter.
