Frances Elizabeth Wood

Frances Elizabeth Wood, 72, of Carlisle, died at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh on Friday, April 3, 2015.
She was born on July 7, 1942 in Pearisburg, VA to the late Leonard H. and Alice P. Leffler Fink.
Frances retired as an Administrative Assistant to the former CEO of Giant Food, Alan Noodle and was a former Administrative Assistant with CACI and a former Loan Officer with Waypoint/Sovereign Banks. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was in the church choir. She was a former member and youth choir director at Centre Presbyterian Church in Bridgeville, PA. Frances had so many interests in her life, but she LOVED her children and grandchildren, working with acrylics, her group support work at church, playing guitar and singing, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, SAILING and especially Kahlee, her golden Labrador Retriever, who she missed daily.
She is survived by her husband Duane L. Wood of Carlisle with whom she celebrated their 35th anniversary with on October 27, 2014; two daughters, Terry Bell-Aby and husband Samuel Aby of Johns Island, SC and Karen Diane (and husband Bryan) Miller of Carlisle; a son, James Bell of Winter Haven, FL; a step-daughter Susanna L. Wood of Mechanicsburg; two step-sons, Steven L. (and wife Tina) Wood of Dillsburg and Jeffrey D. (and wife Rhonda) Wood of Boiling Springs; five grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie (and husband Thomas) Bail of Eaton, CO. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard C. Fink.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle. Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Second Presbyterian Church, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey W. Gibelius and Rev. Jennifer J. McKenna officiating. Interment will be in Second Presbyterian Memorial Garden at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Presbyterian Church Choir, 528 Garland Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013.
