Frances Blauvelt Lawrence

Frances Blauvelt Lawrence, age 87, of Carlisle, formerly of Nyack, NY, passed on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle.
She was born in Nyack, NY on December 12, 1927 to the late George Henry and Helen Blauvelt Mackey Lawrence.
Frances retired after many years as a supervisor at Con Edison of NY State. She was a member of the Simpson Memorial Church in Nyack and had transferred her membership to the Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe where she was an active member and sang in the choir. Frances loved training horses and giving riding lessons. She enjoyed lunch with friends at the Green Village and going out for ice cream. She was known for her prize worthy hibiscus and vegetable gardens. When she had time she was an avid Walmart walker where she enjoyed the companionship of the people she met while walking.
She is survived by some very, very special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe, 770 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Officiating will be Rev. Walter L. Frankenberry. Interment will be at Letort Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the Chapel on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
