Florence W. Ahlers, 100, of Carlisle, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Medical Center of Arlington, Arlington, TX.
She was born on January 25, 1915 in Perry County to the late Raymond and Shirley Neidigh Worley.
Florence lived her entire life in the Carlisle area and worked at several local businesses. She retired from G.S. Electric Motors as a quality control inspector after 25 years of service. She was also a former employee of Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Carlisle and its Women's Sunday School class; the Order of the Eastern Star, Lodge #375 of Carlisle, a 50 year member of AARP; and the Carlisle Golden Age Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie L. Kolanowski of Kennedale, TX; two grandsons, Greg (and wife Kim) Kolanowski and Mark (and wife Karen) Kolanowski, both of TX; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Long and Phyllis McCoy, both of Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Miriam Brickner, Blanch Meredith, Renee Lippert and six brothers, Leroy, Norman, John, Raymond, William and Clyde Worley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, PA with Rev. Anne K. Myers officiating. Burial will be at Westminster Cemetery. There will be a visitation with the family at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
