Flora A. Wolf

Flora A. Wolf, 99, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Church of God Home, where she had been residing since 2018.

Born in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary (Vero) Minchella, formerly of Italy and wife of the late George J. Wolf.

Flora graduated from Carlisle High School, class of 1943. She was employed by Maslands, Carlisle Ribbon Mill and Kenny Shoe Co. and later owned and operated Wolf’s Sunoco Service Station and Coffee Shop on top of Sterrets Gap with her late husband, George.

Following her retirement, Flora enjoyed bowling, playing cards with family, baseball and loved being outside. She was an inspiring mother who loved her family and will be deeply missed. She was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Patrick Church.

Survivors include her daughters: Darlene Metzgar, her husband, Richard, of Shermans Dale and Shirley Morrison, her husband, Keith, of Landisburg; her seven grandchildren and her 16 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister: Helen Burkholder and two brothers who died at childbirth.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Patrick Church, 87 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015, where her grandson, Father Michael Metzgar, will be celebrating. Her viewing will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow Mass in St. Patrick Cemetery, Carlisle.
