Fay L. Barrick

Fay Louise Barrick, 85, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
She was born July 27, 1935 in Shermansdale to the late Frank Wane and Dorothy Pauline (Miller) Zeigler.
Fay was a homemaker for many years when she was raising and caring for her children. She later went to work in housekeeping at Dickinson College where she eventually retired. Fay loved spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, listening to gospel music, and watching the Washington Redskins. Fay will be missed by many.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Harold G. Barrick of Carlisle; five children, Robin (husband Tim) Rhyne of Fairlawn, VA, Jeffrey (wife Jane) Barrick of Shippensburg, Vonda (husband Harry) Shughart of Carlisle, Stephen (wife Marty) Barrick of Newville, and Brian Barrick of Saginaw, MI; one brother, Newel (wife Grace) Zeigler of Carlisle; sixteen grandchildren, Stephanie Hoer, Sean Brooks, Dylan Brooks, Jennifer Barrick, Denise Barrick, Tyler Barrick, Stefan Aparicio, Quentin Barrick, Jessica Goshorn, Nathan Shughart, Jonathan Shughart, Westley Barrick, Amber Mayes, Courtney Barrick, Katherine Barrick, and Brian Barrick II; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by fourteen siblings and her great-grandson, Liam Sylis Shughart.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens with Pastor Richard Noggle officiating.
