Evelyn M. Carpenter

Evelyn M. Carpenter, age 96, of Carlisle, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.

Born in Monroe Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Motter) Moyer and wife of the late Richard H. Carpenter, who passed in 1980.

Evelyn was formerly employed and worked for 17 years at Reese-Hoffman Crystal Plant. She also assisted her husband in working on the farm.

She was a member of the Middlesex United Methodist Church.

Evelyn enjoyed working outside in her flower beds, gardens and her yard.

Survivors include her son: Stanley Carpenter, his wife, Angela, of Mt. Holly Springs, her daughter: Deborah Bostwick, her husband, Brett, of New Cumberland; her grandchildren: Kaitlin Bostwick and Jason Brinkley, as well as her daughter-in-law, Jayne Brinkley, of Camp Hill.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her son: Randall Carpenter and her brothers: LaVerne, Samuel, Paul, John, Lawrence, Clarence “Pete” and Charles.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings from 6 to 8 PM Monday, September 25 and from 9:30 to 10 AM Tuesday, September 26 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, followed by her funeral service 10 AM Tuesday.

Interment will follow the service Tuesday in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
