Evelyn B. Slingsby

November 27, 1924 — January 23, 2020

Evelyn B. Slingsby, 95, of Carlisle and formerly of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at her home.
She was born November 27, 1924 in Philadelphia to the late Herman and Evelyn (Richardson) Brem.
Evelyn was an avid bridge player. She loved shopping, “wine time”, golfing, bowling, and traveling to experience new places and things. Evelyn always said her family were the most important part of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra S. (husband Tim) Musser of Carlisle; one brother, Gene A. Brem of New Jersey; seven grandchildren, Lindsay (husband Adam) Hough of Carlisle, Amanda (husband Ryan) Hilliard of Virginia, Leslie (husband Brian) Slingsby Reagan of Collegeville, Brett (wife Cecile) Slingsby of Rhode Island, Whitney (husband Jeremy) Baker of Carlisle, Sean (wife Laura) Slingsby of Perkasie, and Ashley (husband Steven) Johnston of New Wilmington; 18 great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Carol G. Slingsby of Souderton; her friend of 80 years, Claire Wahl Angus of North Wales; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Slingsby; her second husband, Robert Schultz; her son, Scott Slingsby; and her brother, Wayne Brem.
Services and burial will be held at a later date at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwood.
