Ethan Lynn Amsbaugh, 22, of Mount Union, died Saturday, June 2, 2012.
Born May 18, 1990, in Harrisburg, the son of Roger L. and Karmae McDermond Amsbaugh.
He was a 2009 graduate of Boiling Springs High School. He attended the Franklin County Fire Academy; newly inducted member to Mt. Union Fire Department. He was employed by Priority Response Ambulance as a first responder. He was a member of the Citizens Fire Company of Mt. Holly Springs, and the Friendship Hose Company of Newville, and also Upper Frankford Township Fire Department. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. He loved to help people any way he could and lived to serve others. He loved his animals.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters, Laura M. Amsbaugh and Anna A. Amsbaugh; three uncles, Rodney C. Amsbaugh of Lancaster, Franklin H. C. McDermond of Newport and Jay Elwood McDermond of Mechanicsburg; and two cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2012, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle with the Rev. Andre J. Meluskey as celebrant. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the parish activity center.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
