Emma Jane Shields

Emma Jane Shields, 77, of Carlisle died Thursday, August 14, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 23, 1936 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late James Edward and Lenora Ellen Buckmyer Johnson.
She formerly worked at the Carlisle Ribbon Mill. Her interests and hobbies include spending time with her loving family and especially her dog, PeeWee.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur L. Shields, Sr. of Carlisle; two daughters, Kathy L. Shields of Carlisle and Laurie A. Durham (and husband, Robert) of Carlisle; three sons, Arthur L. Shields, Jr. of Carlisle, Daniel L. Shields of Carlisle and Robert W. Shields of Massachusetts; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Arthur Lee Shields; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Shields; two half-brothers, Frances and Russell Johnson; two sisters, Ida Neal and Ruth Markle and one half-sister, Anna Talley.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
