Elmer A. Stump, Jr., of Boiling Springs, died Friday, October 25, 2024 at Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center, Carlisle.
Born in Monroe Township, PA, he was the son of the late Elmer, Sr. and Grace (Myers) Stump and the husband of over 60 years to Pauline (Shenk) Stump.
Elmer worked for over 40 years at Carlisle Tire & Rubber. He was one of the founding members of Quarter Aces, a racing club based out of Boiling Springs and enjoyed staying busy by being outdoors, hunting and vacationing at the beach.
He was also an active member at Carlisle First Church of the Brethren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Anthony A. Stump, his wife, Tamie, of Mt. Holly Springs, Gregory D. Stump, his wife, Kathy, of Mechanicsburg, Michelle L. Stump, of Carlisle; his grandchildren: Anthony C. Stump, his wife, LeeAnne, of Dillsburg, Bradley A. Stump, his wife, Jodi, of Enola, Cooper D. Stump and Skyler C. Stump, both of Mechanicsburg; his great grandchildren: Riley M. Stump, Spencer J. Stump, Mason J. Stump and Addison N. Stump as well as his siblings: Glae Bowers, her husband, Dale, of Carlisle and Gail McNutt, her husband, Gene, of Tennessee.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 11:00 am Friday, November 1, 2024 at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, where Pastor Doug Miller will be officiating. A 10:00 am viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Elmer’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
