Eileen Patricia Savage, 57, of Mechanicsburg, entered into eternity on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital.
She was born March 1, 1961 in Fulham, England to Dawn M. Zendra.
Eileen’s servant’s heart and giving spirit were evident to all, from the elementary school children she helped in KidsHub at New Life Community Church, Mt. Holly Springs and taught in Kingdom Builders at New Life Community Church, Carlisle where she was an active member. She also shared her love of Jesus with children and families on 4 mission trips she made to Guatemala, with her co-workers and the elderly residents she provided compassionate care and comfort for while working as a CNA at Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg for the last 14 years.
Eileen never met a stranger. Her love for others, expressed in her native British accent and accompanied by her smile and laughter, immediately drew everyone to her. Her desire was that every person be blessed by her spiritual journey and the message that believing in Jesus as the Son of God and her personal Savior would lead to redemption and offer hope in all those needing a healing touch. She was a gifted poet and shared this journey through her poetry in her published book “Redemption Road”.
Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends including her two Yorkies, Pippa and Nino. She also enjoyed listening to music and watching movies.
Eileen is survived by her mother, Dawn Mary Zendra of London, England; two daughters, Victoria Savage of Mechanicsburg and Alexandra (husband Nicholas) Janney of New Cumberland; two sons, Cameron and Liam Savage both of Lemoyne; three sisters, Kim (husband Tom) Casey of London, England, Margaret Rand of London, England and Christine (husband Randall) Berry of Liverpool, England; one brother, Anthony (wife Alessandra) Zendra of London, England; twelve nieces and nephews and her ex-husband and father of her children, William Savage of Lemoyne.
