Edith Mae Reamer

Edith Mae Reamer, 92, of Carlisle passed away on Tuesday evening, November 12, 2019 at Cumberland Crossings.

Born on December 31, 1926 in New Bloomfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Donnelly, Sr. and Cicely (Weldon) Donnelly. She was the widow of Eugene Reamer, Sr.

Edith was a 1945 graduate of Carlisle High School. She enjoyed her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and loved helping and serving others. She was actively involved in ministering to people in need and guiding various groups through the 12-step program.

Edith is survived by her daughters, Patricia Schwarz (Fred) of Carlisle and Rebekah “Bonnie” Ravens Croft-Scott of Chicago, IL; sons, Eugene Reamer, Jr. of Concho, AZ and Charles Reamer (Julianna) of San Jose, CA; brothers, Charles Donnelly (Jean) of Mechanicsburg and Jesse Donnelly, Jr. (Trudy) of Carlisle; sister, Betty Cortner of Atlanta, GA; son by adoption in Jesus, Gordon Kelly of Carlisle; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Eli Reamer and sister, Jane McKinney.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
