Earl M. Lehman, 95, of Carlisle, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at his home.
Born August 2, 1919 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Jessie N. and Ella S. Steckley Lehman and the widower of Ruth Joan Brechbill Lehman.
He pastored several Baptist Churches in New York State, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. After retiring from his role as a pastor, Earl was a self-employed handyman.
Surviving are three sons: Fred Lehman (Carol Lehman) of Burlington, NC, Donald Lehman (Cindy Lehman) of Seattle, WA and John Lehman of Carlisle; one daughter, JoAnne Lehman (Martha Kauppi) of Madison, WI; six grandchildren: Beth Lehman (Jason Bell) of Gibsonville, NC, Jonathan Lehman of Canton, MA, Jeremy Lehman of Seattle, WA, Jessica Lehman of Tacoma, WA and Jeffrey Lehman, of Orlando, FL and Kimberly Lehman Benz Duncan (Daniel Duncan) of Novato, CA; one brother, Roy Lehman (Lois Lehman) of Mechanicsburg; two sisters: Rhoda Mellinger of Lancaster and Helen Royer of Florida; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Lehman; one sister, Alma Wenger; and two brothers, Melvin and Walter Lehman.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, September 26, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church, 777 West North Street, Carlisle with Rev. David Campbell officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
