Dorothy M. "Dot" Kingsborough

Dorothy M. "Dot" Kingsborough, age 88, of Carlisle, died on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Church of God Home in Carlisle.
She was born on November 10, 1926 in Dickinson Township to the late Mervin W. and Mary K. Myers Rhoads and was the widow of her husband Paul E. Kingsborough, to whom she was married for 24 years before he died on September 7, 1973.
She retired as a foreman at the former G. S. Electric in Carlisle. She was a member of Waggoners United Methodist Church of Carlisle. Dot was an avid hunter up until the last couple of years and anything on four legs was fair game to her. Most of all, though, she enjoyed her flowers gardens at home.
She is survived by a sister, Betty J. (and husband John) Weigle of Carlisle; a special nephew, Garry L. Kuykendall, whom she and her late husband, Paul, raised; four nieces; and five nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Kuykendall and Jean Clepper and two nephews, John W. Weigle, Jr. and James Kuykendall, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Bradley V. Moore officiating. There will be a viewing from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Waggoners United Methodist Church, 1271 Longs Gap Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
