Dorothy L. "Dottie" Walker

Dorothy L. "Dottie" Walker, age 86, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Manor Care, Carlisle.
She was born March 3, 1930 in Scotland to the late Melvin D. and Catherine (Brenneman) Gochenauer and was the widow of Merle E. Walker who passed October of 1993.
Dottie worked at the U Wanna Wash Dress Factory in Newville. She enjoyed canning food and attending flea markets with her late husband. She will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her son, Donald E. (and wife Glenda) Walker of Newburg; granddaughters, Shawna (and husband Dennis) Radtke of Georgetown, DE and Tawnya (and husband Anthony) Hamilton of Stonington; a sister, Betty (and husband Lester) Conrad of Carlisle; great-grandchildren, Anthony Hamilton, Jr., Aaron Hamilton, Brittany Hamilton and Haley Torres; and a great-great-grandson, Dante Hamilton. In addition to her parents and husband, Dottie was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Thumma.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the funeral home and on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the services.
