Dorothy Deitch

Dorothy M. Deitch, 98, of Martinsburg and formerly of Boiling Springs, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Homewood at Martinsburg.
Born December 8, 1913 in Mechanicsburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Jenny McCartney Vogelsong and the widow of Jacob Deitch.
She loved to grow flowers and was well known for selling plants and flowers and many sought her advice on growing their own flowers. Dorothy was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Boiling Springs.
Surviving are one daughter, Janet Stewart (and husband, James) of Martinsburg and two granddaughters, Anne Stewart of New York City and Laura Webb (and husband, Jay) of California, MD. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marlin and Paul Vogelsong and two sisters, Charlotte Wise and Gladys Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2012 at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 647 Forge Road, Carlisle with Rev. Dr. David Reed officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
