Dorothy A. O'Hara

Dorothy A. O’Hara, 95, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.
She was born September 9, 1923 in Carlisle to the late John and Anna (Eisley) Mentzer and was the widow of George A. O’Hara.
Dorothy was a longtime member of the former Brethren In Christ Church, Carlisle where she sang in the choir. Her caring and helpful demeanor helped her during the years she worked in retail sales for many former Carlisle businesses.
Dorothy is survived by one son, George (wife Louise) O’Hara Jr. of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Andrea and Timothy O’Hara; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will follow at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
