Doris Weary

Doris L Weary, 83, of Shermans Dale passed away at the Church of God home in Carlisle, PA on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Her husband of 48 years, Lloyd G. Weary, preceded her death on September 26, 2022. Doris was the daughter of the late Jacob and Edna Shenk.

Prior to retirement, Doris worked at Amp Inc. and the former Family Ford dealership in Carlisle. Her favorite places were on top of the mountain where she lived and fishing in the Delaware Bay.

Doris is survived by a son, Timothy Gelbaugh, and his spouse Daphne of Carlisle, and two stepdaughters: Stephenie (Weary) Flewelling and her spouse Gene Flewelling of New Holland and Wanda (Weary) Jumper and her spouse Bill Jumper of Walnut Bottom. Eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild also survive her. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy J. Gordon of Shermans Dale, and one granddaughter, Shannon.

Also surviving Doris are brothers Gerald Shenk and his spouse Sue, Joe Shenk and his spouse Janese, and a sister Jody Shenk.

A memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.
