Doris Jean Kerns

Doris Jean Kerns died at her home on February 17, 2025. Born on Monday, March 22, 1943, to Carl and Gayle (Weary) Mentzer. 

She is survived by her sisters Janet Lebo of Newville, Linda (Lyle) Frye of Wisconsin, Lois (Ron) Zeigler of Newville, Mary (Gary) Wickard of Carlisle, nieces and nephews Cindy (Brian) Swarner, Deb (Jim) Bogert, Ed (Cherrie) Lebo, Joel Lebo, Kelly (Keith) Derr, Tim (Kristen) Zeigler and Jason Wickard, great nephews: Aubrey Watkins, Garrett Wickard, Justin Barrick, Josh Barrick, Chris Barrick and Silas Zeigler,  great nieces: Kelsie Bunker and Olivia Wickard . 

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie and a brother-in-law Carl Lebo. 

She so loved quilting and having meals for everyone at her home. Doris always put everyone else before herself. She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Carlisle United Methodist Church 333 S Spring Garden Street Carlisle, PA 17013.
