Doris J. Jones, age 82, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
She was born February 23, 1935 to the late Floyd M. and Mary Catherine (Boldosser) Rutz.
Doris retired from food service at the Carlisle School District and was a member of Mt. Rock United Methodist Church.
Doris is survived by: her husband of 61 years, Dean M Jones; one son, Jeffrey D. (wife Sydnee) Jones of Carlisle, and one sister, JoAnne (husband John) Burkholder of Newville.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Mt. Rock United Methodist Church, 598 Mt. Rock Road, Newville, PA with Pastor Linda Mayfair officiating. There will be a visitation following the service. Interment will be held privately in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Rock United Methodist Church or to Celtic Hospice, 220 Wilson Street #100, Carlisle, PA, 17013.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
