Doris A. Glass, 80, of Carlisle died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at her home.
Born Sept. 17, 1931, in New Bloomfield, she was a daughter of the late Jacob Raymond and Katherine Cook Dum and the widow of Howard Wilson Hendricks and Earl G. Glass.
She was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked for more than 20 years as an LPN for Carlisle Hospital. She also worked at Bob Evans as bus boy and hostess.
Doris liked traveling and going junkin' (sorting and collecting junk). She loved being with her family and going out to eat.
Surviving are one daughter, Lottie Stine (and husband, Harry P. Sr.) of Harrisburg; four brothers and sisters, Shirley DeLancey of Millerstown, Carl Dum of New Bloomfield, Kaye Eichelberger of Eschol and Beulah Mae Weldon of Carlisle; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Filler; a son, Steven Hendricks; a grandson, Josh Bloom; and a brother, Leroy Dum.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Dale E. Barrick officiating. Burial will be in New Bloomfield Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
