Doris A. Woodrow

Doris A. Woodrow, 82, of Carlisle, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born April 22, 1930 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Ethel Shughart Hoover and the widow of Glen A. Woodrow, Sr.
She retired from the Church of God Home, Carlisle. She attended the Wesleyan Church of the Cross, Carlisle. Doris loved her family and will be remembered for being a great wife for 60 years, a fantastic mother, and a caring grandmother.
Surviving are five children, Judy Bailey (and husband, Earl) of Newville, Rose Cook (and husband, Faron) of Newville, Hope Rice of Carlisle, Joy Shockley (and husband, Joseph, Jr.) of Newville, and Glen A. Woodrow, Jr. of Newville; three brothers, John Hoover (and wife, Carolyn) of Carlisle, Merle Hoover (and wife, Ruth) of Carlisle, and Ronald Hoover (and wife Jeanne) of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous step grand and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Woodrow; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Wesleyan Church of the Cross, 430 “Bâ€Â Street, Carlisle with Rev. Daniel R. Mikesell officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church.
