Donna (Whitmore) Hufnagle Mullins

Donna (Whitmore) Hufnagle Mullins, 71, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Forest Park Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 31, 1946 in Sussex, NJ to the late LTC (RET) George Ingersoll and Ruth Bernice (Nield) Whitmore.
Donna considered Carlisle her second home. She was an Army brat and traveled extensively during her father’s service. She graduated from Boiling Springs High School and Joan – Lee Beauty School. Donna opened Donna’s Beauty Salon in Mt. Holly Springs, later worked at the Cumberland County Court House and worked at Amp / Tyco for 29 years before retiring.
Donna enjoyed house restoration projects, building stone walls, oil painting, gardening and spending time with her Amish friends.
Donna is survived by one son, Mike Hufnagle of Carlisle; one daughter, Heidi (husband Matthew) Wilkinson of Gainesville, VA; one brother, Lee (wife Heidi) Whitmore of Unionville; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter and Nield Whitmore.
In accordance with Donna’s wishes there will be no viewing or service. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Donna to Barnitz United Methodist Church, 23 Church Ln, Carlisle, PA 17015 or to the hospice organization of your choice.
