Donna M. Scott

Donna M. Scott, 79, of Boiling Springs, died on February 7, 2015 at Life Care Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
She was born on May 27, 1935 in Carlisle to the late Paul Leroy and Lois Elaine Starr Houtz and was the widow of Chester P. Scott.
Donna was a toll collector for the PA Turnpike Commission. She liked to read, do Word Search puzzles, search the Internet and she especially liked to work in her yard when she was able. She loved her dogs. She treated them like her children after her kids were grown. She like to travel and enjoyed cooking and baking. She belonged to the Carlisle First Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by two sons, Chester (and wife Sue) Scott III and Michael Scott, both of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Bryan M. Scott, Kristie A. Failor, David L. Scott and Mark E. Scott; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Averi and Autumn Scott and Xavier Webber; and two brothers, Robert L. Houtz of Mechanicsburg and Dennis P. Houtz of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by a brother Maxie Houtz and a sister Elaine Cornman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Carlisle First Church of the Brethren, 1340 Forge Road, Carlisle, PA with Revs. James & Marla Abe officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the church and on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
