Donna Lee Miller (Over) Boyd

Donna Lee Miller (Over) Boyd, age 83, passed away peacefully at her family home on December 29, 2021. She is the daughter of the late James F. Miller, Sr., and Orpha Mae McGonigal Miller.
Donna attended Carlisle High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1956.
She is the mother of George “Skip” Over III and wife Cristal and Jonathon “Scott” Over and wife Tracy. Donna is also survived by six grandchildren – Justin, Nicholas, Derek, Brittany, Jared and Eliot – seven great-grandchildren – Haven, Conner, Isla, Elise, Sophia, Noelle and Aria – and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Gerry Lynn and grandsons Nicholas Ryan and Eliot James.
She retired from the Cumberland County Prison System with 25 years of service as the Records/Committing Officer. Donna loved her family deeply and enjoyed reminiscing about growing up with her brother, James F. Miller, Jr., and sister, Betty Ann Miller Klair.
Donna enjoyed traveling and was privileged to visit Taiwan, Europe, Alaska, the Midwest, and many Eastern Seaboard locations. Most of all, Donna enjoyed conversations at her kitchen table with friends and family alike, but especially with her oldest and dearest friends, Jeni, and Hanne.
A private family service will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family. Contributions in Donna’s memory may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association or the Nicholas Ryan Over Foundation.
