Donald Paul "Red" McKillip, 90, of Boiling Springs, died Friday, May 17, 2013 at The Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born October 13, 1922 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late George D. & Susanna Delancy McKillip.
He retired from U.S. Postal service after 35 years. He was a veteran of WWII, U. S. Army Air Corps. Red was a member of Grace United Methodist Church; St. Johns Masonic Temple #260; Consistory Lodge; Tall Cedars of Lebanon and Zembo Shriners; Empire-Friendship Fire Co.; South Middleton Fire Co.; American Legion Post 101; Veterans Foreign War Post #8386 in Frenchville. Surviving are his wife of eighteen years, Eleanor (Liszman) McKillip of Boiling Springs, one grandson, Dene R. Leonard III of Fort Knox, KY; one granddaughter, Danita L. Leonard of Phoenix, AZ; and one great-granddaughter, Dena P. Leonard. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife, Frieda (Baker) McKillip; brother, John McKillip; and sister, Mary Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Alan Robinson and Pastor Susan H. Stewart co-officiating. Burial with militaries honors conducted by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
