Donald D. Peak, 86, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born May 7, 1932 in Harrisburg, PA the son of the late Charles Peak and Kathrine Stoner Peak. He was happily married to Harriet Knepper Peak for 48 years. He was completely devoted to his wife and family and declared himself a very blessed man.
Donald was a sheet metal man, welder at Tyco, formerly AMP. He also was a welder at the former Silver Springs Racetrack. He was an active member of the Lighthouse Church of God. Donald served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955, earning the rank of Pipefitter Third Class. He was a former member of the American Legion, enjoyed hunting, fishing and an exceptional “Jack of all trades” man. He was a member of the AMP Nimrods.
Donald is survived by his wife, Harriet K. Peak of Carlisle, daughter: Christy Snyder and her husband Carl of McClure, PA, and twins: Jason Peak of Carlisle, PA and Mandy Lehman and her husband Tim of Nescopeck, PA, and ten grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by two brothers: Vincent “Bud” Stoner and Kenneth Cook.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Lighthouse Church of God, 910 Cavalry Road, Carlisle, PA 17013, with Pastor Chris Current, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
