Surrounded by loved ones, Don E. Haubert, Sr., 82, of Mechanicsburg, passed peacefully April 21, 2022.
Don is survived by his loving wife: Gina (Krupa), children: Don Haubert, Jr., Randy (Linda) Haubert, Brad (Pam) Haubert, Reannon Holland (Kevin Kopanski), Shelly Rollings and Ricky (Marlena) Rollings, grandchildren: Megan, Chad, Zane, Derek, Chelsea, Alex, Kamryn, Owen, Noah, Jake and Aria and 9 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister: Lois (Don) Carlin, brothers-in-law: Gene (Chris) Krupa and Greg (Debbie) Krupa and sister-in-law: Sonya (Rich) Evans as well as numerous loving nephews and nieces.
With a passion for home building, Don was the founder and CEO of S & A Custom Built Homes and Haubert Homes, Inc., building over 20,000 homes in central PA throughout his career. Additionally, Don served on the Board of Directors for Juniata Valley Bank and was a member of the Air National Guard.
Don was a generous, kind, compassionate soul with a heart of gold who loved the company of his friends and family members. He especially enjoyed vacationing to the Caribbean Islands, horse racing, deep sea fishing, college football and traveling the East Coast searching for the perfect pizza. With his love of life, he always brought a smile to the faces of those around him and will be profoundly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. Interment will be held privately. A viewing will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Don’s name may be made to: Millerstown Volunteer Fire Company, 7 N. Market Street, Millerstown, PA 17062.
