Dennis R. Doporcyk

Dennis Robert Doporcyk, age 51, of Carpentersville, IL, formerly of Carlisle, PA passed away unexpectantly Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Elmhurst Hospital, Illinois.

He was born March 10, 1967 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert Doporcyk and Laura (Schamber) Hendrickson.

Dennis was an U.S. Army Veteran. He worked in maintenance at the Dundee Township Park District and was a talented electrician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers. Dennis made friends easily and offered encouragement to everyone he met. He loved life. Relationships were important to him and he cherished the time spent with his family.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Laura Hendrickson and her husband Gary; his loving children, Derek and his children Kadence and Dylan of Newville; Nicole and her fiancé Jake and their children, Brayden, Jaryn, Zaynin, and Myla of Carlisle; and Devin and his wife Amanda and their children, Adalynn and Connor of Newville; fiancé, Alexis Ducre and her son, Brannon of Illinois; brothers, Michael and his wife Tanya, Lee Strawser and his wife Ashley, both of Carlisle, and Kurt Doporcyk of Illinois; sisters, Amy Emlet and husband Jason of Gardners, Dawn Jacobs of California, and Kim Varas of Illinois; stepmother, Barbara Doporcyk of Illinois; stepfather, Larry Strawser of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kim Horcher of Loysville.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25 at 4:00 pm at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Pastor Kenneth Hoke officiating. A visitation will be held between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
