Dennis L. Wert

Dennis L. Wert, age 57, of Millersburg, died unexpectedly, Friday, January 6, 2017 at his residence.
He was born October 9, 1959 in Carlisle to Doris Jean (Wolf) Wert of Carlisle and the late Ray E. Wert.
Dennis worked as a forklift operator at M.I. Metals, Inc., Millersburg. He was an experienced carpenter and a "Jack of all Trades" and was a diehard motorcycle rider who tried to ride all 12 months of the year. Dennis was a member of: the VFW, Post 5750; the American Legion, Post 326; and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #59, all of Millersburg.
In addition to his mother, Dennis is survived by: brothers, Ronald E. Wert, David L. Wert and Richard M. Wert, all of Carlisle; his loving companion, Vickie Jury of Millersburg; and his extended family, Jennifer and granddaughter, Charlee Jumper of Carlisle and the family of Raymond and Shirley Jury of Halifax.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the First Church of the Brethren, 1340 Forge Road, Carlisle, PA. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013 to help defray the funeral expenses.
