Delores A. “Flip” Krach, nearly 86 years young, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Green Ridge Village.
She was born August 29, 1934 in DuBois, PA to the late Joseph and Blanche (Lockitsky) Kurtz.
Flip attended St. Patrick Catholic Church and she was a member of Moose Lodge Chapter 235, Carlisle. She was a resident of Leiby’s Trailer Park for 46 years and could be seen taking long walks through out the neighborhood greeting all. Flip will also be remembered for taking care of generations of scrapes and bruises at the playground and always giving out her homemade candy and her famous yogurt pops to all who visited. She was formerly employed by the Kitchen Shoppe where she worked at the coffee bar and helped with the cooking classes. Flip loved walking, playing BINGO, yardwork, feeding the birds and hummingbirds, and being outdoors.
She is survived by one daughter, Tracee Lynne (husband Randy) Clepper of Carlisle; one brother, Gary (wife Bea) Kurtz of DuBois, PA; two sisters, Margaret Wolf of Grampian, PA and Pauline (husband Dean) Smith of Summerville, PA; two grandchildren, Jesse Jay Clepper and Tina Marie Clepper both of Carlisle; two great-grandsons, Joseph Ray and Justin Jay Clepper. In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesse Wilson Krach and her son Raymond J. Krach.
A memorial picnic will be held from 5:00 - 7:00pm on Saturday, August 29, the day of her birth. The memorial picnic will be held at the upper pavilion at Village Park, 1830 Suncrest Drive Carlisle, PA 17013. Flip’s cherished recipes will be served for all to enjoy with iced tea and lemonade. The family requests all who are attending bring a lawn chair and their favorite memories to share. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Delores to Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.
