Della (Diclaudio) Martinelli

Della (DiClaudio) Martinelli, 98, of Carlisle and formerly of Turtle Creek, died on Sunday, December 26, 2021, with her loving family by her side.
She was born September 5, 1923, in Blythedale, PA to the late Orfeo and Maria (Rosetti) DiClaudio. Della was the widow of Carlo Martinelli who passed in 1968.
Della worked at Edgewood Country Club until her retirement. She took great pride in the homemade Italian dishes she cooked. Della enjoyed gardening and the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Martha (husband John) Hubbs of Carlisle; two granddaughters, Erica (husband Don III) Swartzlander of Mifflin and Carla Hubbs of Carlisle; and one great-grandson, Don Swartzlander IV. In addition to her parents and her husband, Della was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Martinelli; one sister, Anna DiClaudio; and five brothers, Timberio, Sylvio, James, Dominic, and Leenie DiClaudio.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Della’s memory to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road Harrisburg, PA 17110.
