David Sybert

David A. Sybert, 42 of Newville PA, died October 24, 2013 in Hershey Medical Center.

Born January 11, 1971 in Johnstown, PA, a son of David F. and Theresa L. Simala Sybert, Newville PA.

David was a 1989 graduate of Portage Area High School and later from Thompson Institute. He was a huge fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams. Dave enjoyed fishing and camping in his spare time. He was a member of the Walnut Bottom Gun Club. David will be greatly missed by his many friends near Portage and in the Carlisle area.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, is his son, Corey A. Sybert, Newville, a sister, Christine Sheets and her husband, Michael, Newville, his maternal-grandmother, Gladys Simala, Newville. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal-grandparents, Kenneth and Dolores Sybert, maternal-grandfather, Michael Simala, his special Aunt, Giselle and two uncles, Jack and Phil.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 30, 2013, in the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Dr., Carlisle, with the Rev. Dwight Schlaline as celebrant. There will be a viewing from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday in the in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.
